THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS! We had a much better week! So many experiences this week where I have been able to see the power of prayer!
For starters, lots of missionaries offer free service and post about it in local facebook groups. So some other sisters in another area had a lady reach out to them to rake her leaves, but because she lived out of their area we got to do it! That is how we met Bailey! She isn't a member but knows people that are in our church and she used to visit with some elders (unfortunately, the elders didn't teach her anything they just played video games with her son) But anyway she is the sweetest! Her back yard is HUGE so there were a lot of leaves and we still aren't done haha. Each time we go over there she makes us hot chocolate and she even bought us Christmas presents! She is the best! Meeting her was definitely a tender mercy!
We also are trying to make a light the world video for our FaceBook page (BY THE WAY YOU SHOULD ALL FOLLOW COME UNTO CHRIST IN NORTH SNOHOMISH COUNTY ON FACEBOOK) and a lot of the people in our ward that were going to help us ended up not being able to :/ So we were stressed and needed to get the video in soon. So I said a prayer. Then we decided to text some other people and beg them to help us haha but ya know what? They sent us video footage almost immediately! The power of prayer is real people!! So once you follow our facebook page you should repost our video that will be posted on Tuesday!
My last example of prayer power..... So church is all virtual now except for the bishopric, the speakers, and the missionaries aka us! Yesterday's speaker was a returned missionary so he and his family all came to the church. Unfortunately, The mom in that family ended up testing positive for covid later that day. Awesome. BUT we sat on opposite sides of the chapel and never came in contact with her. BUT she also brought us dinner a couple nights before. So we called our mission nurse and she was sure that we were fine while at church because everyone was masked and more than 10 feet apart. However, she had to call the mission office in SLC because she wasn't sure about the food. So we had to wait until the next morning. MOST STRESSFUL 12 HOURS OF MY LIFE! So we prayed A LOT and asked our district to pray for us as well. And because God is SO GOOD we don't have to quarantine!!!! woot woot! Best news ever!
We had a lot more lessons and did a lot of service and it was sister Roderers 21st birthday so our ward spoiled her! It was overall such a better week! The power of prayer is real! In Mormon 9:21 it says "Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all even unto the end of the earth." So this week I just wanted to invite you all to pray! Use this verse as your guideline and just start praying like crazy!!
I LOVE YOU ALL AND SO DOES GOD!
Love,
Sister Anderson
