Aziza

 Hey Everyone!

So you're probs wondering what Aziza means...

This week we had a lesson with a part member family! They were super awesome and they all had very interesting names. There was Nyobe, Nymoway, and Aziza. We got to talking and Aziza (Ah-zee-zah) actually means "God is among us". I thought it was beautiful! And it's true! God is truly among us.

We got to have a super awesome lesson with our friend Jannette! We finished teaching the plan of salvation to her and she loved it! She doesn't believe a word we say unless it's stated in the bible tho. So, it's been a good stretch for sis Israelsen and I to study the bible and find everywhere that talks about the plan of Salvation. She seems to understand it pretty well and loves studying with us. She's such a sweetheart!

We also got BEN TO COME TO CHURCH! Ben is Elizabeth's little brother and we've been trying to get him to check out church for a while now. He seemed to really like it and they are going to bring the 2 littlest brothers next week! WOOT WOOT!

We also had mission leadership council this week and I got to see sister Durham and Erickson! Love them.
I also hit 10 months in Washington this past week and 11 months as a missionary on Sunday! Can't even believe how fast time has gone by. I have loved my mission so far! It has stretched me and strengthened me SO MUCH! I know God has more in store! REMEMBER: When there is no peace on Earth. There is peace in Christ.
Mark 5:25-34 Reach for Christ and let him heal you! LOVE YOU ALL!!

NEW COMP!

Oh hey, it's me. Your favorite PNW sister missionary :)

This week was CRAZY! Lots of hard goodbyes for sis Erickson. She had been here for 6 months! It was time for her to try a new area. That didn't make it any easier to say goodbye to her though! She is actually now companions with my old companion Sister Durham!! SO JEALOUS! I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH! Now they are just living it up in Bellingham together.

My new comp is.... SISTER ISRAELSEN!! She is from Layton UT and she is a go-getter! she's awesome:)  We are still page admins and Sister Training Leaders so we are very busy!

COOL STORY! We were out knocking on less actives doors and were actually having a lot of success and setting up lessons with them! While walking back from one we saw a guy just chilling in his front yard so we went to go and talk to him. While we were getting closer I thought he looked SO familiar. Then I realized... It was MARIO! Mario is someone we have been teaching online for about a month now! It was crazy to run into him! We ended up talking about the Book of Mormon and read the Introduction with him. We even got him to download gospel library app and he said he would listen to the book of Mormon :))) It was awesome! God is good!

Something that has really helped me this week has been the power of prayer. Change is never easy. I've had to learn to get comfortable being uncomfortable. The second you get comfortable on your mission. BOOM. You or your companion gets transferred. That's just how it goes. But, I'm learning to love it! You don't grow when you're in your comfort zone! However, you don't have to go through the hard changes on your own. In fact, DON'T go through it on your own! Pray for the strength that comes from Jesus Christ atonement.
Love you all!

Baptism, Temple Trip and Transfer News! (Yes, I'm alive and well haha)

So sorry it's been like 2 weeks since my last email hahahaha I promise I'm fine! We have just been CRAZY busy!!

Honestly, not really sure where to start...
Elizabeth got baptized! Her whole family except her 2 oldest brothers came and all her friends she made at girls camp came too! It was amazing! We got to be the witnesses :) She was SO excited to get baptized! She even bore her testimony after she was confirmed AND the next DAY at fast and testimony meeting! She is absolutely amazing! Also, at her baptism all the young women and young women leaders and sis Erickson and I sang a song called "I will" from the 2021 youth album. The spirit was so strong and everyone in the room was able to feel the spirit. It was an amazing day to say the least.

On Wednesday WE WENT TO THE SEATTLE TEMPLE! The best part is we got to go with Jacob AND Elizabeth! Both of our recent converts! It was incredible! Jacob was even able to baptize Elizabeth in the temple and sister Erickson and I were the witnesses! It was such a cool full circle moment :)

I also got to go on exchanges with Hermana Timpson in Snohomish/Sultan! It was actually so wild because NO ONE spoke English to me except Hermana Timpson hahaha. I felt like a 3rd wheel the whole time lol but it was really cool and they all attempted to teach me Spanish and cheered at my attempts lol.

I hope you all take time to reflect on your day and see how you have seen God's hand throughout the day. I promise that the more you look for it, the more you'll find it.
Love you all!
