Little Girl in the Big City

HEY HEY HEY!

Soooooo this week has been crazy! Lets dive right in

Saying good bye to island view was actually SO hard! I have fallen in love with Camano island and all the people on it 💕 I'll have to go back and visit! Whose down to come?

My new companion is Sister Erickson! She is from Brigham City Utah and has been out for a year now! She's been a huge help while I'm trying to figure out how to be a Sister Training Leader and run our zones Facebook page! Yep! We are page admins! That definitely adds some stress but it's all good!

We live in Everett! It's weird going from my little island to the big city.... but so far so good!
We have SO MANY FRIENDS! We are going to try and put 3 of them on date this week! Please keep Elizabeth, Asunta, and Jacob in your prayers 🙏 Jacob watched church and Elizabeth came to church with us! She's so sweet! She's 14 and her mom is Asunta and she's the best!

Life is wild and I definitely couldn't do this with out the strength I receive from Christ. I hope that when you're feeling down or like things are too hard that you pray for strength and guidance. I promise God will hear and answer that prayer. Love you all so much!

STL, Who??

So yeah..... on Saturday I got a call from President Auna and was asked to be a Sister Training Leader!! I'm super excited but also SO SAD to leave Island View :(((( There are so many amazing people that we had just started to work with but hopefully the new sisters that are coming in will take good care of them.

I don't find out where I'm going until Wednesday when I arrive at the mission office! That's also where I'll find out who my companion is! So sad that I'll have to leave Sister Eyre :( She did so good in her training and will probs be AP (assistant to the president)  soon ;)

I don't have a lot of time so here is a very quick run down.
We taught Tricia!! We basically covered lesson one and two because she had SO many questions! But it was awesome and she wants us to come back! So sad that we won't be here for that :(( Keep her in your prayers please!

We got to participate in a Jewish Communion! One of the ladies we did service for invited us over for dinner so we went and and ended up having a communion (sacrament type) service! She put a scarf type thing over her head, lit candles, and her and her husband blessed us and the bread and grape juice. Super interesting but really cool experience!

Keivan got a Book of Mormon! The elders in his area were able to get him a book of Mormon and a Bible! He's doing awesome! Please keep him in your prayers!
We also do a lot of service for a lady named Debbie and we asked her if we could share a message and she said yes! We were planning on doing it but then we heard the transfer news so hopefully the next missionaries will keep in touch with her. She's the best!!

GOD IS AWARE OF YOU! LOOK FOR HIS HAND IN YOUR LIFE AND YOU WILL SEE IT!
Love you all!

MINI MIRACLES!

This week has been FULL of mini miracles!

First, we went and knocked on a less active families door they let us right in! They were super sweet! Right now they have their 7 year old grandson living with them. His name is Enzo and he is very high energy but such a good time! It's hard to get him to hold still. BUT, thankfully we were inspired to share the story of the 10 lepers before we knocked on their door and he loved it! (We made sure to make it sound gory because little boys love that for some reason) after the lesson we found out Enzos parents aren't active either but his grandparents want us to come back every Thursday and teach about baptism and the church! 🥳🥳 we are super excited!

We are also teaching Scott from the record shop still! He's doing SO good! He even watched church over zoom yesterday! We are meeting with him again tonight to teach him the plan of salvation.
Speaking of the plan of Salvation, we taught that to our Muslim friend Keivan! Keivan is very smart and likes to see EVERYTHING from a deeper perspective. Which is awesome and always leads to really cool conversations! Some of the questions were pretty tricky but I totally felt the spirit guiding me to help answer those questions and he always replied with "I like that answer. That makes sense." He even wants a Book of Mormon! We are going to send the elders to give that to him (because he lives in Seattle) and he wants to attend church once he's fully vaccinated 🥳🥳

We had one slow day so we decided to ask bro Madan (from my last area) if he wanted to do a video call lesson at 3:30. At first he said no because he would be driving home at that time but then he realized his friend Juan would be driving with him and said sure! So we got to talk with him and Juan for a bit and after bro Madan said that Juan was really interested in what we talked about and wouldn't mind hearing a message!! Crazy right? So we will see where that goes 😄

And finally... we have been doing service for this sweet lady named Tricia every other week for maybe over a month now and she always says things like "I don't believe that there's just a heaven and a hell. God is more merciful than that" or "I don't think you should have to confess your sins to anyone but God" and we are like TRICIA! YOURE RIGHT! LET US TELL YOU WHY. haha jk but we agreed obviously and asked her if we could share a message and she just kinda dodged the question so we planned to just go and randomly knock on her door one day but she beat us to it! She texted us and said that she thought about it and she'd love a message!!! We are so excited to talk with her on Saturday! Please keep her and everyone else mentioned in this in your prayers!

Also Merlyn! (The guy from the hike) he's doing really good! He's made lots of friends with the YSA :)))
God is SO good! He is in every detail of our lives! Just LOOK for him! I was reading in Alma 30 today and verse 44 talks about how all things denote there is a God. And its true!! You should totally go read that verse for yourself.
Love you all!

Another Week on the Island

 Hello Hello!

This week has been packed once again with service and lessons. (mostly service tho tbh) It's been good tho!
We got to meet with Scott again this week! (The guy from the record shop) We taught him about the atonement and he loved it! We are going back again tonight to teach him the restoration woot woot! Keep him in your prayers.

We are stilling meeting with our Muslim friend Keivan but this week, instead of just discussing our different religions we asked him if he would like to start taking the lessons and he said yes! Yay! We will start those up on Saturday!

GET THIS... We actually knocked on a door!! 2 of them! Crazy right!?! In the Everett mission we haven't been allowed to do any tracting of any kind. BUT if we visit a member we can knock on their neighbors' doors haha. SO WE DID! We just offered free service because we were in our service clothes and gave them our number if they needed it! WILD. Not really haha but we are getting closer to a normal mission life! I'm excited but also scared..ahhh.

We also had exchanges this week! I stayed here with sister Stringham and we partied hard and did service all day woot woot!

Spiritual time. In Alma 24 the Anti-Nephi-Lehi's buried their swords as a testimony to God that they would sin no more. What "swords" in your life can you "bury"? Maybe the Sword of judgement? the Sword of pride? Think about that this week and bury whatever is holding you back from being fully committed to the Lord.
Love you all!
Love,
Sister Anderson

More next week tho I promise!
