JACOBS BAPTISM

This week was jam packed with amazing things!!

First off...ITS 102 DEGREES IN WASHINGTON RIGHT NOW! Just in case you don't know... IT NEVER GETS THAT HOT HERE! More than half of Washington doesn't even have AC because it's never hot enough to have it. So many missionaries are suffering because of it lol. However, yo girl lucked out! Sister Erickson and we are the only missionaries in the Washington Everett Mission with AC! #blessed

We had an awesome lesson with our friend Zahra! Last week we invited her to pray and this week she said she did! She even saw how God answered her prayer!
We also met with Jannette again and taught her the restoration. She LOVES the bible and is very unsure about the Book of Mormon at first. We share some of 2 Nephi 29 and answered her questions. She seems to really like it! She's just a bit hesitant because of the things she's heard about "mormons" in the past. But she said we are her first "mormon friends" 🥳

Also.... JACOB GOT BAPTIZED! It was actually kinda crazy.....we found out 2 days before the baptism that the building was being used and we had to relocate. We called at least 6 different stake centers and ALL of them were doing stake youth activities. We eventually found a building that's activity was ending at 7 so we just pushed the baptism to 8 and we were set!

When he walked in the doors he was smiling ear to ear! He was SO excited!! Sister Erickson and I got to be the witnesses! He had to get baptized twice but the 2nd time he looked at everyone there and gave them a big 2 thumbs up! Lol. He was GLOWING!! The spirit was SO strong when he was confirmed and received the gift of the holy ghost. The next day he received the priesthood ðŸ˜‡ hes doing so well!

All of this was possible because a member in our stake brought up church to her fiance guy while buying a car. That's it! Jacob said he had been waiting and wanting to join a church! God knew that and sent someone who was willing to follow the spirit. I challenge you all to pray for a missionary opportunity and ACT ON THE PROMPTINGS GIVEN!
Love you all!
Be sure and watch the Love, share, and invite devotional!
Love,
Sister Anderson

Summer in Washington

Washington never ceases to take my breath away! It's really just beautiful here year round!

Anywaysssss this week was really good! We got to have a BOM study with our friend Jannette! (finally!) It actually went really well and she even ended up coming to church on Sunday! Yay go Jannette!

Our friend Jacobs' baptism is this Friday! We are SO EXCITED! He had his baptism interview on Thursday and he crushed it. I'll have to write about his baptism next week!
We also found out our friend Elizabeth isn't moving anymore!! YES! She comes to church with us every week and is like our best friend haha. We were going to put her on date for baptism but her mom thinks it's too soon.

I got to speak in church yesterday! 3 of our friends were at church so I decided to speak on the first principle we share as missionaries, God is our loving Heavenly Father. Plus, it was fathers day! So it worked out perfect! Also, SHOUT OUT TO MY AMAZING DAD! LOVE YOU!

I don't have much time but this week I want you all to try something. Get a pen and paper and put it by your bed. Before you go to bed tonight, say a prayer on your knees and then once you finish your prayer just keep kneeling and wait for prompting from the holy ghost. Then write them on the paper. TRY IT! It's actually amazing!
Anyway, I love you all!

Update

Welcome back to another letter from your favorite pacific north west sister missionary!

This week a bit more slow because we had a lot of Facebook work we had to do. Sister Erickson and I are the Facebook admins for "Come unto Christ in South Snohomish County" so we are responsible for everything that goes on the page and make sure that everything runs smoothly. We also are in charge of doing a Facebook live so be sure to tune in! It will be Wednesday at 7pm PST!

We also have did service for Brad and Rick. We LOVE Brad and Rick! They live right across the street from our friend Muriel. We just pulled some weeds for them and as we did their neighbors came and brought us water! We love that neighborhood! They will be seeing a lot more of us ;)

We also taught Jacob the word of wisdom, temples, and the law of chastity this week and it was surprisingly SO easy! It was almost concerning that he was so on board but he keeps saying that he knows there is something different about this church and he really loves it! YAY! We had to move his baptism date to next week on June 25th but we are SO PUMPED!

Elizabeth and her family are moving on Wednesday:( We are big sad. But we know that she will love her new ward and we hope to be able to attend her baptism! She's not on date yet but she says that she wants to be baptized.
We also went on exchanges with our hermanas! Hermana Timpson and I went and did service for our cute friend Jannette and invited her to church! She was going to come but her daughter ended up coming and she wanted to be with her. Next time tho for sure!

I hope you all remember  how much your Heavenly Father has done for you. Life can be so bland sometimes and it can be so easy to forget to remember how blessed you are. So just never forget to count your blessings!
I love you all!
Love,
Sister Julia Anderson

I don't even know what to title this

I don't have a lot of time so this is going to be a wild letter....

I'll just get right into the exciting stuff! We have a friend named Jacob that was a referral from a lady in the stake. She literally met him while she was buying her car! He was her finance guy and she felt prompted to just bring up church so she did! Long story short she invited him to meet with us and now we do! We love Jacob!! He's so awesome! The best part is.... HE IS ON DATE TO BE BAPTIZED!! When we asked him he said "I thought you'd never ask!" It was so awesome! He is progressing so well!

We also almost put our friend Elizabeth on date! I say almost because we asked her if she wanted to be baptized and she said yes but.... She's moving :((((( We were SO tempted just to baptized her here and then let her go to her new ward. However, we know that if she is baptized into her new ward she will have a lot more fellowship. It was big sad but we are hoping that we can still get permission to attend in person!

I also hosted my 1st Zone conference as a sister training leader! I was honestly SO nervous! But I just decided to let the holy ghost guide and it ended up going pretty well! I'm excited for the next one!

We have seen so many miracles here in Eastmont! I wish I had the time to write them all in this email! God is so good! We even got 3 of our friends to church on Sunday!! It was amazing!! they were all squished between sister Erickson and I and it made me SO HAPPY! At the end of the meeting I looked over to our friend Zahra and she was crying! She said that she loved the spirit here!

THE CHURCH IS TRUE EVERYONE!
Find out for yourself!
Love you all!
