Sister Julia Anderson: ONE MONTH IN THE WEM

JAIL BREAK!!

Yes, it's true. WE MADE IT OUT OF QUARANTINE ALIVE. It feels SO GOOD! It's so nice to meet with people and do service for them again! We missed human interaction!!

We got out of quarantine on Wednesday (BEST DAY EVER) and the first thing we did was run to Twin Lakes just like we used to! Only, it was a very bad idea.... we hadn't ran in 2 weeks and our bodies weren't quite ready to just hop right back in hahahahaha. oops. It was still so fun tho! And, it was a super misty morning and almost the whole lake was covered in mist and it looked like a scene out of a horror movie haha way cool!

We got to go back to sister J's! She is the best mission mom ever! So it was so awesome to see her and do service for her again at her super cute wedding venue!!

We also taught a friend (investigator) named Zach! He is super sweet and he is dating a member who is also just the best ever. We ended up having a super awesome lesson with them! Makes me so happy to be a missionary after lessons like that!

2 FUNNY STORIES!

1: Sis Roderer and I got to go and do service for a non member! She lives by herself and cant keep up with the lawn. So we cleared the lawn because we had 30 mph winds the day before so the lawn was covered in branches, decorations, and dog toys. So while one of us was mowing the lawn the other was clearing it. At one point I looked down at my shoes and....THEY WERE COVERED IN DOG POOP! I then realized that the whole lawn was covered in dog poop! The grass was just too long to really tell at the first glance lol. But, we kept going and the lawn looked SO GOOD after wards haha. She even gave us shower gel and perfume after we had finished! It's almost like she knew how much poop was on the lawn and felt bad haha.

2. We got to go "Tracting!" well kinda hahah. Our Elders quorum president and his wife invited us to go with them and visit less actives. So technically they were the ones knocking haha. Anyways, it was super awesome! The people were way nice! The last guy we went to visit took about 5 minutes to make it to the door. He just kept saying "I'm almost there!" when we finally made it to the door he had no pants on!! Just his tighty whities!! AHH hahah. He told us to come in and apologized for being in his tighty whities but he never did put pants on! He said a lot of crazy stuff but he was really nice! He also had a super cute barn and we asked him about it and he calls it Noah's ark. Why? Well according to him if you flipped it upside down it would look just like the ark... ummmmm okay lol. I guess so hahah!

I've also been having a lot of lessons with friends and family back home! Thank you to all that reached out and were willing to let us teach you! It has been so fun and the spirit is always so strong in those lessons!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT OF THE WEEK

Every time we go to Walmart our friend Brent that works there comes and talks to us. He is the best! Today he made us "audition" for him so we had to sing silent night in Walmart as a bunch of people walked by lol. He also loves to tell us dad jokes and things like that haha. Today he shared his favorite scripture with us and I loved it! it was D&C 88:63-64. What these verses talk about is how we must draw near to Him in order for Him to draw nearer unto us. That is one reason why prayer is so important! we have to communicate with God! Communication is key in every relationship! especially our relationship with our father in heaven! So this week I would invite you to pray with more intent and find new ways so that you can draw nearer unto Him and I promise that he will draw nearer unto you!
